CabinetsByMail.com contracts with third-party freight carriers to provide shipping services. Customers should examine their order upon delivery to ensure that there are no visible signs of damage, or missing or incorrect pieces. If an order appears damaged or incorrect, order shortages such as missing items and/or any visible shipping damages must be noted on the shipping receipt and signed by both the driver and the recipient. Customers must notify CabinetsbyMail.com of the damage/discrepancies within 48 hours of receiving the order. All damaged products should be left in their packaging and set aside for review.
Any orders accepted and signed by the customer without such notice will be considered complete. The customer must claim all other damages within 5 days of receipt. Please refer to our Warranty Policy for additional information regarding damage claims.
We deliver to specific regions on designated days of the week. When we are ready to schedule your delivery, we will attempt to contact you at the telephone number that you provide with your order and let you know what days of the week we are able to deliver to your area. Deliveries will be made between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm.
CabinetsByMail.com will notify you of your delivery date 48 hours in advance of delivery. All orders must be paid in full prior to scheduling a delivery. We will call or email you within 24 hours of a scheduled delivery date with an estimated timeframe for the delivery of your merchandise.
We do not guarantee the delivery time, but will make every effort to deliver within the time window provided. You or your representative, 18 years of age or older, must be present to receive the merchandise at the agreed upon day and time window. If no one is available to receive the delivery, a Re-Delivery Fee may be applied to your order.
If scheduling conflicts arise, customers must notify CabinetsByMail.com’s Shipping Department at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled delivery. Less than 48-hour notice will result in a Change Fee equal to the delivery charge.
Our delivery service is curbside delivery only. This means the truck will get as close as possible to your driveway or loading dock and the driver will place items adjacent to the base of the delivery vehicle. The driver is not permitted to move products further than five feet from the back of the delivery vehicle.
Please be sure to sign the Delivery Order Form in the presence of the delivery driver representative to indicate your delivery has been received. Examine your order upon delivery to ensure that there are no visible signs of damage, or missing or incorrect pieces. In the event of missing, damaged or incorrect packages and you do not wish to accept any of the items delivered, please notify the driver immediately and he will return those items to our warehouse. A signed delivery receipt, without notations of missing, damaged or incorrect item(s) represents your acceptance of the complete order in perfect condition. There may be circumstances that require additional payment by you if the conditions mentioned have not been met or you require special services outside of our standard delivery. For example, if your address is not accessible with our trucks, if you were not available for your scheduled delivery, or if the delivery is not made due to unsafe conditions, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: To ensure the safety of our delivery team, we reserve the right to cancel or delay deliveries during hazardous weather conditions.
CabinetsByMail.com RETURN POLICY
All product returns must be made within ninety (45) days of the invoice date. All boxes containing the returned products must be unopened and not contain any obvious damage. The customer shall be responsible for all freight and transportation charges associated with such returns, and the customer shall bear all risk of loss and damage with respect to such Products until they are delivered to CabinetsByMail.com at its facility.
Prior to returning any products, the customer must complete the attached Return Authorization Form and submit it to CabinetsByMail.com at the e-mail address set forth in the Return Authorization Form. No Products shall be returned to us until a Return Material Authorization has been issued by CabinetsByMail.com. A copy of the Return Material Authorization must be included with the returned products. CabinetsByMail.com assumes no responsibility for items sent to us without proper return authorization.
Upon receipt and inspection of the returned Products, CabinetsByMail.com will issue a credit for the invoice amount of the returned Products, less a twenty percent (25%) restocking fee. No credit will be issued for lost or damaged items.
CabinetsByMail.com WARRANTY POLICY
SCOPE OF WARRANTY
CabinetsByMail.com warrants that all of its Products will be free from defects in workmanship and material for a period of five (5) years from the date of shipment from our facility or that of our supplier. This limited warranty applies only to the use of our Products in normal residential applications. Defects are defined as any imperfection that may prohibit the use of the cabinet in normal residential applications or which otherwise do not measure up to our quality standards.
Defects do not include items beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, the following:
Wood and Color Variations. Natural variations in the color, textures and grain of the wood used to manufacture our cabinets or changes in the color of the wood caused by the natural aging process of the wood material are not considered defects.
Wood Doors. Changes to wooden doors caused by changes in humidity, temperature and other local atmospheric conditions are not considered defects. Door warpage of up to 1/4” shall not be considered a defect. Note also that doors that appear warped may often be the result of improper installation.
Painted Finishes. Changes (such as finish stress lines) caused by the use of non-porous woods (such as birch) or by changes in humidity, temperature and other local atmospheric conditions are not considered defects.
Glazed Finishes. Glazed finishes are uneven by nature, and some edges and profiles will be larger than others. Glazed finishes may vary from item to item, resulting in variations in color, texture and finish. These types of variations are not considered defects.
This limited warranty is the sole warranty given by CabinetsByMail.com with respect to its Products and is given in lieu of all other warranties, lesser implied.
Our warranty does not apply to the use of cabinets in commercial, industrial or non-residential applications. Additionally, defects or damage caused by improper assembly or disassembly, intentional damage, misuse, product modifications, exposure to the elements, accident or negligence on the part of persons other than CabinetsByMail.com are not covered by this limited warranty.
This limited warranty does not cover the cost of assembly, installation, removal, subsequent damage or transportation of the defective Products regardless of whether the work was performed by you or by a contractor, service company or consumer. Without limiting the foregoing, labor charges for removal or installation of warranted materials, as well as incidental and consequential damages, are excluded.
CLAIMS Any claims made under this limited warranty must be presented in writing, by submitting a completed Warranty Claim Form. The completed form should be submitted along with photos of the defective or damaged Products to CabinetsByMail.com at the e-mail address set forth on the Warranty Claim Form. Upon receipt of a completed Warranty Claim Form, CabinetsByMail.com will process the claim promptly and, assuming we conclude that the claim is justified, provide replacement merchandise as quickly as is reasonably practical. Kitchen Cabinet Distributors reserves the right to request additional information regarding any claim made.
